Those red flags that you ignored in the beginning are staring you in the face and you’re trying to decide whether to run, hide, or to accept it. Too many couples miss those warning signs by excusing their partner’s actions or simply ignoring them. Most won’t realize how bad the damage is until it’s too late or they are too deep in, and that’s where you get caught up. You either choose to be loyal to someone that may not be worth it or cut your losses early and seek happiness elsewhere.
Of course, it’s a tough decision to make, but what’s the benefit of staying if you’re unhappy. Some people continue failed relationships because of security, emotional dependence, approval, or if they share children together, but is it really worth it? What do you lose if you decide to leave? What if you can actually love your life and the people in it?
Some men and women jump from relationship to relationship without addressing the issues within self which can spill over into their next relationship. That’s not fair and it only leaves problems to address later down the line with someone new. Getting a new man won’t heal you and meeting a new woman won’t fulfill you. I always say the top layer is just the flavor; it’s the inside that gives you favor. We have to stop staying because of convenience. It’s okay to be alone especially f that other person does not compliment your life.
When you’re with the right person, things will always align as they are supposed to. You should feel secure in your relationship, not unstable and ready to walk away when the next opportunity presents itself. Failed relationships are not just lessons, they are blessings. Those situations teach us what values we want in our significant others and what standards we have set for ourselves. Everyone has flaws, some are understandable and others are not. We all have baggage, but that does not mean that you should accept anything. Be warned that grass is not always green on the other side. You may end up in a situation that was worse than tour current one so be sure to make your next move your best move.
Love is a beautiful thing especially when two people respect and honor the scarcity of love, but for those still in search of self, that may be a pretty big step. We can’t expect a broken person to love is properly. Don’t be fooled looking out of a stained glass window at someone else's life, everything isn’t always what it seems.
